Arcserve specializes in data protection and recovery. The company wanted to improve their flagship product and address the ever growing global ransomware trend by ushering in the next generation of ransomware protection software. I established the overarching design strategy, executed design research, and led design innovation activities with high visibility outcomes.
I created and maintained Arcserve's company-wide design system that's based on Material UI. Detailed specifications and Figma components were successfully developed. This became the design standard across the entire company. Its achievement enabled designs to be clear, consistent, simple, and significantly enhanced project managers’ and developers’ work.
Shadow Protect is Arcserve’s backup and recovery solution for IT professionals to manage hundreds of machines, across multiple time zones globally. Their customers are small to mid-size businesses. Its new major release was to allow existing local version customers to easily onboard this cloud based solution. I led its entire design overhaul from installation, configuration, dashboard, reporting, and many more. That led to its NPS improvement by 26%.
I achieved a unified vision and improved the end-to-end journey of Expedia Group’s developers. Throughout the strategy, design, and development life-cycle, I collaborated with a strong design team, engineers, product managers and executives. The outcome simplified platform adoption, sped up ideation to real product, and improved the company’s financial performance. The design system I created enhanced the speed and the quality of designs by 30-35%.
Expedia Group made significant improvements to its developer ecosystem. Company reduced the number of developer tools by 39%, created major engineering initiatives, and adopted Spotify’s Backstage.io, which became a hub for their developer tools. The outcome was $42 million dollars of cost savings and productivity boost by its second year, and continued to grow. Dev and UX contributions to the source community improved Expedia's Open Source Contributions ranking from 167 to 98.
The challenge was to design for a service called Eat Well. This service recommends recipes and diet changes to improve health and cognitive ability based on the customer's blood sample and output from Eat Well’s AI. User research, competitive analysis, process diagrams, design kit, and prototypes can be seen in this science based case study. Figma, Miro, and Adobe CC were some of the tools used.
As the Senior UX Design Lead l managed the cloud-based Digital Operations Center project to make complex sales processes simple and fast. I teamed up with business and sales to create highly ambitious new tools. I led strategizing, prototyped, mentored, and made sure they all worked together seamlessly. As a result, sales review and approval times were reduced by 45%+ for complex deals, which made ~80% of revenue or $50 billion annually, and continued to grow.
As the Senior UX Design Lead for the Business Operations Data Engineering team, I worked with the business team to create an all encompassing portal, which made product launches at Microsoft more streamlined and productive. End-to-End solutions came from carefully listening to customers and clear presentations to ensure delightful user experiences. By the middle of 2024, the new product delivery portal was used for 70% of Microsoft’s launch volume, with 1,500 users on 5 teams representing $80B in revenue.
I combined my HCI, user experience insight, user research, and engineering skills to successfully design analytics tools for small to large corporations. I designed, developed, deployed, and managed business data solutions to statisticians and data scientists. Together with business, product, engineering, and partners, user-centered business intelligence software were successfully created, presented, and trained.

That drove me to build Happysandbox - a platform where people can share insights from their own lives, and enrich others.
